Alfred
A launcher and workflow tool for the Mac
AppFreemium
Raycast
A launcher with extensions and AI
Raycast replaces Spotlight with a launcher for opening apps, finding files and running commands from the keyboard. Clipboard history, snippets, window management, notes and a calculator are built in, and thousands of extensions from the store add more, for example for Linear, Slack or Notion. You write your own extensions in React and TypeScript, and Pro adds AI chat, agents and cloud sync.
Why it made the cut- Clipboard, snippets and windows in one tool
- Thousands of extensions, your own in React and TypeScript
- AI chat and agents on the Pro plan
