What it is

Trigger.dev is an open-source platform for long-running background tasks and AI agents that you write as plain TypeScript functions. Tasks run without timeouts, with automatic retries, queues, cron schedules and realtime updates for the frontend. The code is licensed under Apache-2.0, and the platform can also be self-hosted with Docker or Kubernetes.
