What it is

Lighthouse is Google's open-source tool that loads a web page and scores it for performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO. It lives as its own panel in Chrome DevTools, but it also runs as a CLI, as a Node module in CI pipelines and behind PageSpeed Insights. Every item in the report comes with an explanation of why it matters and how to fix it.
